Position Summary:
If you are passionate about providing exceptional outpatient care and making a meaningful impact in an underserved community, this is an outstanding opportunity. Spanish bilingual candidates are preferred but not required.
The Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) will provide comprehensive outpatient primary care services, including conducting patient evaluations, obtaining medical histories, diagnosing and treating acute and chronic conditions, and developing individualized treatment plans.
The provider will educate patients regarding diagnoses, treatment options, preventive care, and health maintenance strategies while promoting continuity of care. Responsibilities include ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing appropriate therapies, coordinating referrals when necessary, and collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
The practitioner is responsible for maintaining accurate, concise, and timely documentation within the electronic medical record, including patient assessments, treatment plans, medications, allergies, laboratory orders, diagnostic results, patient education, and follow-up care.
Candidates must be Board Certified or Board Eligible, possess or be eligible for California licensure, and meet Adventist Health credentialing requirements.
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree: Preferred
Required Licenses/Certifications:
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: Required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification: Required
- Nurse Practitioner (NP) licensure in the State of California: Required
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the State of California: Required
- OR Physician Assistant (PA) licensure in the State of California: Required
