Adventist Health is seeking a skilled and compassionate ENT Otolaryngologist to join our growing specialty team in Bakersfield, California. The incoming physician will practice in a hospital-owned and operated clinic with access to a strong referral network, advanced technology, and a collaborative multidisciplinary medical staff.
About the Role
The ENT Otolaryngologist will provide comprehensive medical and surgical care for patients with disorders affecting the ear, nose, throat, head, and neck. This role offers the opportunity to develop a broad-based practice while serving a diverse and growing Central Valley population.
This position includes a combination of outpatient clinic responsibilities, surgical procedures, and hospital-based care in a collaborative healthcare environment focused on clinical excellence and compassionate service.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat conditions involving the ear, nose, throat, head, and neck
- Perform surgical and non-surgical ENT procedures
- Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative care
- Collaborate with primary care physicians, specialists, and allied health professionals to coordinate patient care
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and preventative care
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and organizational growth efforts
- Stay current with advancements in otolaryngology techniques and evidence-based practices

- Full-time employed position
- Hospital-owned and operated clinic
- Mix of outpatient clinic, surgical procedures, and inpatient responsibilities

Wage Scale: $416,415 – $500,000
Total compensation may vary based on additional services including call coverage, administrative responsibilities, productivity, and performance incentives following the initial guarantee period.
The incoming physician must meet the hospital’s medical staff credentialing standards.
Candidate Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Otolaryngology
- Active California medical license (or eligibility)
- Excellent clinical and surgical skills
- Commitment to patient-centered, compassionate care
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment
